Set Your Imagination On Fire At Bootheel Youth Museum In Missouri
Mention spending a day at a museum to the kids, and you might get a few groans. Probably something we, adults, expect. After all, museums can be pretty dry for the little ones. However, Bootheel Youth Museum in Missouri isn’t your average museum. It offers kids the chance to play and to have fun – all while learning about everything from science to history.
Set your imagination on fire and learn a few things, too, when you visit Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden, a popular destination since it opened in 1996.
Before you head indoors, however, hop up onto the mega-sized chair for a few photos - a fun way to commemorate your visit. Special guests, like Santa and the Easter Bunny, sometimes visit during the holidays, too.
Bootheel Youth Museum boasts 50,000 square feet of attractions and exhibits, including a children's theater that fits nearly 200 guests.
The more than 50 hands-on exhibits give kids - and even adults - the chance to learn while having a whole lot of fun through play.
Bake a delicious, albeit pretend, pizza at the pizzeria, or go shopping for the freshest produce at The Market. Be prepared for a hearty workout of the imagination.
A mad scientist may host a few science shows, featuring fascinating experiments, that just might spark a new, or encourage an ongoing, interest in science.
If you've never played an oversized game of chess, now's your chance.
Visit other fun exhibits, too, including the Shadow Room, the Planet Room, and the Lewis & Clark Trail.
Add a stop at the Nano Bite, too, where you can grab a bite to eat. The museum also features a gift shop and memberships if you plan to visit frequently.
