ATLANTA — A teenager is recovering from his injuries after being shot while walking down a road in northwest Atlanta.
Police say they were called to Hughes Spaulding Hospital in reference to a 16-year-old coming to the emergency room in a private vehicle suffering a gunshot wound.

Police have not released any details on motive or potential suspects.
Investigators say the teen told them he was walking in the 2900 block of Middleton Road when a car approached him and began firing at him.
Investigators are still working to learn what led up to the shooting.
