Mellette County, S.D. (KELO.com) — A young bald eagle was struck by a car this morning south of White River, near the junction of Highways 44 and 83.
A passing motorist rescued the eagle and turned it over to the sheriff’s department. According to the Mellette/Todd County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Rosebud Sioux Tribe Game, Fish and Parks took him to a wildlife rehab facility.
