Britney Spears is a proud mom.

The pop star shared a nostalgic throwback post of her sons Sean and Jayden on Instagram. She revealed in the caption that it feels "bittersweet" to see her now-teenage sons grow up, writing the message alongside pics of herself and the boys enjoying a family beach day when they were younger.

"So bittersweet to see them get older … why can’t they just stay babies forever 🥺 ??? They will always be MINE 👩‍👦‍👦💋❤️ !!!!!" she wrote.

Spears shares Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The singer keeps her children's lives private, only sharing family updates with her fans on special occasions. She shared rare snapshots with both of the boys in March, with edited and unedited pics of the family posed in a grassy field.

"I haven’t posted pictures of them for some time cause they’re at the age where they want to express their own identities and I totally get it .... But I went out of my way to make this cool edit 🌅 and guess what .... They’re finally letting me post it !!! Now I don’t feel left out anymore 😂😂😂," she wrote.

Last month, Spears wrote a lengthy caption about the sons' birthday celebration, alongside a graphic of the quote, "There is nothing stronger than the love between a mother and son."

"My boys’ birthdays were last week … and unfortunately they are growing up and want to do their own things .... I have to ask their permission to post them because they are extremely independent little men," she wrote.

She added, "I truly believe this quote which is why I wanted to share it … there’s a lot I can’t share with you all because my kids are very private which I love but I will tell you they are both extremely talented and I’m so incredibly blessed to have these two little men in my life ❤️🙏🏼 !!!"
