Even though this year's Harvest of Talents had restrictions due to the pandemic it didn't stop supporters from adding to a total of $103,163.19 for the 2021 event.

Harvest of Talents chairperson Carolyn Neal said she was grateful for the support and was happy to see families returning to the annual event.

The live auction featured a variety of items that showcased the talent of the community.

"This morning we welcomed two fourth generation ‘Harvesters’ which is so uplifting. The joy of seeing college students and former Sunday school kids who came home for the weekend so they wouldn’t miss their tradition of coming to Harvest Day is touching," said Neal.

"It is inspiring that we are seeing the young bring their families to this event. Teaching their children why this is so important. We’re taking care of the torch to hand to them one day," smiled Neal.

The total amount raised in Lincoln over the past 38 years of the Harvest is $2,660,217.85. All proceeds from the event have gone to the International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES), a world relief organization based in Kempton, Ind., that combats hunger around the globe.
