  1. Goodbye

That's it from here - but don't worry, there's still more cricket for you. It's the big one, with India taking on Pakistan, and you can follow all the action from that game here.

    See you there!

  2. Post update

Rajapaksa played a gem of an innings, too - 53 from just 31 balls. Bangladesh did help him out with a dropped catch and unfortunately for Liton Das, he dropped Asalanka a little later in the game as well.

  3. Post update

Sri Lanka haven't had the easiest run coming into this tournament - they were all over the place in their tour of England over the summer.

But what a time to find some form - they looked supremely confident today. They go to second in the table behind England.

    Aatif Nawaz

    BBC Test Match Special

A huge win and a huge signal of intent. It wasn't all easy, they had to work at it.

  5. Post update

Charith Asalanka came in with the score at 2-1, chasing 172, having just seen Kusal Perera bowled from the third ball of the innings.

He finishes on 80 not out, including five fours and five sixes. Class.

Former IPL batter on BBC Test Match Special

I think they were fairly confident whatever total was thrown at them, they would chase it down. Rajapaksa's 53 really won it for Sri Lanka.

  7. Sri Lanka win by five wickets

What a chase from Sri Lanka!

Charith Asalanka finishes on 80 from 49 balls. A commanding performance.

It looked like way too big a total for them to chase down, and looked even more daunting when Kusal Perera fell in the first over - but they've done it with an over to spare!

  8. SL 166-5

Need 4 to win from 8 balls

Asalanka tries to get the win with a six but fluffs it - however, he still manages two and Sri Lanka are so close ...

  9. Post update

    Abhishek Jhunjhunwala

Former IPL batter on BBC Test Match Special

He completely changed the game and has probably won the game for Sri Lanka.

  10. WICKET

    Rajapaksa b Nasum 53 (SL 165-5)

Is there a twist in the tale?!

Probably not. There's just seven needed to win, but this game has ebbed and flowed since the first ball so you never know.

But what an innings from Rajapaksa, who is applauded off the pitch and is greeted by hugs from his teammates in the dugout. H

  11. SL 163-4

Need nine to win from 12 balls

Mustafizur's over goes for just four, but the damage has been done. Should be a straightforward win for Sri Lanka now.

  12. 50 for Rajapaksa

A half-century for Bhanuka Rajapaksa! What an innings!

He reaches the milestone from just 28 balls and has executed his job to perfection, taking all the pressure off Asalanka when the three quick wickets fell.

  13. Post update

Asalanka now has 73 from 45 balls. What a knock it has been.

    Abhishek Jhunjhunwala

Former IPL batter on BBC Test Match Special

Sri Lanka often surprise in these big events. They find a way to win big matches. We are watching a couple of special knocks from these Sri Lankan batters.

  15. SL 159-4

Need 13 to win from 18 balls

Ah, the joy is short-lived! Six more to Asalanka, coming down the pitch and thumping the ball straight into the stands.

Probably was too late for Shakib Al Hasan to come back into the attack - his over concedes 11 and Sri Lanka are cruising.

  16. SL 151-4

What a stunning piece of fielding that is! Mohammad Naim on the boundary leaps full stretch on the boundary and palms the ball back over the rope to restrict it to just two runs.

The umpires check it several times and it's very close to being called six, but the benefit of the doubt goes to the fielder.

  17. Post update

Rajapaksa has smashed 45 from 24 balls, playing his role perfectly as the aggressor as Asalanka can anchor the innings at the other end.

  18. SL 150-4

Need 24 to win from 24 balls

Has that over cost Bangladesh the game?

Saifuddin gets it completely wrong and concedes 22 from it. Have they left it too late for Shakib's two overs?

  19. Post update

    Abhishek Jhunjhunwala

Former IPL batter on BBC Test Match Special

What a game, what an innings from Rajapaksa, from the moment he walked out he look confident and had intent.

  20. SL 142-4

Need 30 to win from 27 balls

    This is brutal.

Four more carved through the off side. Stunning batting from Sri Lanka - Rajapaksa has 44 from just 22 balls.
