Teenager sent to hospital following UTV crash in Cooper County

COOPER, Mo. (KMIZ)

A teenager was sent to the hospital with serious injuries following a UTV crash Saturday evening in Cooper County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash happened on Badger road when the UTV attempted to make a turn and over corrected, throwing the 16-year-old from the vehicle.

The driver was transported with serious injuries to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City by Pettis County EMS.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt according to the crash report.
