THE SCORING:
First Period:
16:32 - NYI 1, ARI 0 - Cal Clutterbuck netted his second goal of the season turning defense into offense. The Islanders converted on a 2-on-1 rush with Casey Cizikas, beating Karel Vejmelka over his right shoulder to give the Islanders an early 1-0 lead.
Second Period:
19:50 - NYI 2, ARI 0, PPG - with less than a minute to play on the power play in the second period, Brock Nelson received a pass from Noah Dobson and made his way into the offensive zone. Nelson then left the puck in the slot for Josh Bailey, who wristed one off Nelson's skate and into the back of the net for Nelson's second goal of the season, giving the Islanders the 2-0 lead.
Third Period:
10:51 - NYI 3, ARI 0 - Retrieving a Brock Nelson pass at full speed, Anthony Beauvillier got by Arizona forward Clayton Keller before going to the backhand and beating Vejmelka for his second goal of the season and putting the game away for the Islanders

The Islanders power play was 1-for-2 and their penalty kill was 1-for-1.
Arizona's power play was 0-for-2 and their penalty kill was 0-for-1.
