DETROIT (WWJ) Crime Stoppers is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who shot and killed a Detroit man while he was renovating a home.
Police said Glenn Jackson Jr., 29, was shot at the home he was working on, on Morley near Wyoming and West Chicago, on August 1 around 1 p.m.
“There are so many people who claimed to have loved little Glenn, that there was nothing they wouldn’t do for him,” his family friend, Christina Galloway, said during a Crime Stoppers press conference. “…There are too many people hurting over this.”
The Belleville High School graduate dreamed of starting a home renovation business and was a philanthropist at heart, his family said. He enjoyed “good food, fashion, and family.”
“Glenn was a wonderful father, a wonderful son,” Galloway said.
“My son is not here….” His mother, Felicia Jackson, said.
“I was there when Glenn was born,” his cousin Denisha Daniel said through her tears. “And I was there when he passed.”
The suspect is believed to have been driving a white Town and Country minivan at the time of the murder.
“Come forward and give his parents, children, grandparents, and extended family some form of justice,” Denisha said.
Glenn had a son on the way with his girlfriend. He is survived by his three other sons and a family who loved him dearly. Glenn’s brother was also shot and killed in Detroit in a separate incident.
If you have information regarding Glenn’s death, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up or visit their website or text: CSM and your tip to 274637. You will remain 100% anonymous as you are not allowed to give your name. Crime Stoppers does not wait until a conviction to pay out the reward.
“You can’t keep running and hiding,” his mother said to his killers and to the witnesses who know something.
