This Korean Revenge Drama Just Climbed Into Netflix's Top TV Shows List

Squid Game isn't the only South Korean drama series dominating Netflix right now.

Another show, titled My Name, has climbed its way up the charts and we can understand why, because it looks seriously gripping. The series follows a young woman named Yoon Ji-woo (played by Han So-hee), who witnesses her father get murdered right before her eyes and tries to solve the case by joining a police force under a fake name. However, in her search, Ji-woo follows the direction of a crime boss who runs a drug cartel, and she may soon discover that she's gotten herself in over her head.

After being released to Netflix only a week ago, My Name has now jumped into the streaming site's list of most-watched shows. Check out the trailer below.

In the clip, we learn that it's a cop who has killed Ji-woo's father, and this is the person that becomes her target when she goes undercover. “I gave up my future and my name to get my dad's murderer,” she says. “My life has no purpose if I can't kill him.”

And it appears that things only get more complicated from there. In Netflix's official write-up for the series, they say, “Ji-woo joins a drug cartel and becomes a mole in the police force to seek the truth behind her father’s death. She encounters harsh truths in the course of carrying out her revenge.”

My Name was directed by Kim Jin-min and it was written by Kim Ba-da. Along with Han So-hee, the series stars Park Hee-soon, Ahn Bo-hyun, Kim Sang-ho, Lee Hak-joo, Chang Ryul and Yoon Kyung-ho.
