Despite their hot start to the 2021-22 season, the Baltimore Ravens could still look to make a few roster changes that could separate them from other AFC contenders. With the NFL trade deadline fast approaching, the Ravens will have some big decisions to make if they want to add some additional depth that will contribute to them making a deep playoff run this season.
As they look to add to their already deep and dynamic roster, the Ravens will definitely have a few trade targets in mind prior to the deadline. This could be a make-or-break kind of situation as they have their sights set on a division title and Super Bowl run. Without further ado, let's take a look at the two best trade targets for the Ravens ahead of the November 3rd trade deadline.
Marlon Mack
With a backfield that's been depleted by injuries in the early part of the season, the Ravens could definitely use some additional depth in their running game. Now that Marlon Mack seems to have lost his place in the Colts' rotation due to Jonathan Taylor's continued rise to stardom, this would be a golden opportunity for the Ravens to capitalize.
A running back duo of Mack and Latavius Murray could really bolster their backfield and give them a reliable rushing attack that could add an exciting new element to their offense as they look to win the AFC and bring home another Super Bowl title in 2022. The addition of Mack would prove to be incredibly beneficial to the Ravens offense and give them another strategic advantage against their upcoming opponents.
Odell Beckham Jr.
Now that the Cleveland Browns have been hit with a series of injuries across their roster and have fallen to last place in the AFC North, there may be a few moves in the works for the undermanned Browns. One name that seems to have come up in recent trade rumors is Odell Beckham Jr., who could still give the Browns a ton of help at receiver, but the problem is that he hasn't produced much up to this point in the season.
This is especially disappointing after he missed the majority of the 2020-21 season with a torn ACL. It has also become apparent that he and Baker Mayfield have failed to form any kind of on-field chemistry, which hasn't been an issue for Jarvis Landry and the other Browns wideouts.
Even though Beckham Jr. hasn't been a great fit in Cleveland, that doesn't mean there aren't other teams willing to take a chance on the Pro Bowl wideout who's due for a change of scenery. Enter the Baltimore, a perennial title contender that could use a veteran deep threat to elevate their passing game.
If the Ravens are able to pull off a deal for OBJ, then this could catapult them to the best team in the league. A quarterback-receiver duo of Lamar Jackson and OBJ on an offense that already possesses Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown and Murray would give the Ravens the NFL's most lethal offense and possibly make them the new team-to-beat in the AFC. If the Ravens want to take things up a few notches, then this is a move they should strongly consider ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
