Great South Bay Brewery building ‘Tipsy Terrace’ outdoor bar in Bay Shore

|

Bay Shore’s Great South Bay Brewery on Drexel Drive is taking a cue from the COVID-friendly outdoor drinking and dining that emerged these past two years with its new Tipsy Terrace.

The outdoor bar area, which is expected to open on the north side of the brewery next month, will serve Great South Bay beer, as well as selections from the company’s Tipsy series, which includes Tipsy Tea, Tipsy Lemonade and Tipsy Punch.

“We couldn’t have named the new space without it,” Clare Allen, the marketing manager for the brewery, said in an email.

“We saw such a great response and love for our front patio during COVID, that it inspired us to build the back lawn up to its full potential,” she said. The Tipsy Terrace “is a shipping container bar, with a stage adjacent. We also have colorful Adirondack chairs, two volleyball courts, and picnic tables.”

While enjoying their brews in the sun, patrons can hop over to the food trucks at the brewery Wednesdays through Sundays. The trucks can be found on the events tab of the brewery’s website.

Seating arrangements will be determined as the construction unfolds, which should not take much longer, as Allen said the brewery hopes to welcome it’s Great South Bay patrons to the great outdoors by mid-November.
