A suspect has been arrested by deputies following a Saturday deadly drive-by shooting in Rosedale. The Kern County Sheriff's Office identified the man who was shot and killed.

Deputies said upon arrival on Gibson Street off Rosedale Highway, they found 24-year-old Diego Soto who had been shot in his upper body, died on scene. The department said they found probable cause to arrest 22-year-old Alfredo Perez later that night around 8:20 p.m. Perez was booked into the Kern County Jail for the murder of Soto.
