Forward Dmitrij Jaskin in line for more regular role in Arizona Coyotes' lineup

Though not reflected in goals or assists, Thursday's game was the one the Arizona Coyotes had hoped to see from forward Dmitrij Jaškin.

It was a sign that the 28-year-old who was born in Russia and raised in the Czech Republic looks ready for more consistent playing time. He was in the lineup Saturday night against the New York Islanders for a second straight game.

"We're happy about his physicality, he had chances, we always liked the way he processes the game and he played with pace," Coyotes head coach André Tourigny said.

Jaškin skated 18 shifts and played just under 14 minutes in the Coyotes' 5-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
