North Platte woman accused of burglarizing home, stealing from vehicle

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-A North Platte woman has been accused of burglarizing a vehicle and residence.

According to police, on Oct. 21 at 4:58 p.m., officers responded to the 600 Block of South Willow for a theft from a motor vehicle. 

Upon arrival, police said officers spoke with the victim, who indicated a female subject, identified as Nicole Perez, 41, got into his vehicle and he was now missing items.  The victim reported that he observed Perez in the vehicle, but by the time they could confront her, she had taken off on foot. 

Police said the victim reported several items missing from the vehicle. 

Officers were unable to locate Perez at this time. 

A short time later, police said officers were called back to the same residence as the victim discovered the house had been broken into as well and items were missing.  The victim believed that Perez was responsible for the items missing from the house and vehicle.  

Officers were able to locate Perez and take her into custody.

Officers located items from the victim's vehicle on her person and property from the residence was later located nearby. 

Probable cause was established and Perez was placed under arrest. 

Perez was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center on suspicion of burglary and theft from a motor vehicle.
