With National Drug Take Back Day Today, the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office talks about incidents they have seen from unwanted prescription drugs

Guthrie County Deputy Kent Gries says that Guthrie County does not have a huge issue with prescriptions but they do have issues arise.

“But we have had car accidents, we have had people overdose on prescription drugs that their not suppose to have in their system or have in their possession so we want to avoid those type of things.”

Gries says the best method to dispose of unwanted and old prescriptions are to drop them off at the Guthrie County Courthouse during business hours or to a law enforcement professional. He states there are no questions asked and no appointment needed.
