NJ.com | Mike Rosenstein: The Yankees are in much need of a shortstop and another starter to pair with Gerrit Cole. Could they sign an elite shortstop and a top arm on the market? Jon Heyman believes so...

NY Daily News | Kristie Ackert: The Yankees once again seem unsure as to the status of their catching position for next season. Brian Cashman was vague on Gary Sánchez’s future on the team during his recent press conference, which leaves a lot of questions marks regarding his future with the Yankees. “We’re going to evaluate all available options,” Cashman said when asked about Sánchez as a the 2022 starting catcher. However, there aren’t many other options.

NJ.com | Mike Rosenstein: Speaking of options to be a possible replacement for Gary Sánchez, Buster Posey could be a direction the Yankees could go in. The 34-year-old catcher has a team option after this season ends, but it’s worth $22 million and the Giants might not be interested in that. Posey, who hit .304 with 18 home runs in 113 games in 2021, could be paired with Kyle Higashioka as the Yanks wait for one of their catching prospects to make their way up.
