Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton vocalizes his struggles after finishing third in FP2 for the United States Grand Prix.
After a blistering first practice session for Mercedes, Hamilton, despite setting the fastest time, was derailed due to exceeding track limits.
Even with a newly replaced, Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), the British star finished behind Sergio Perez and Lando Norris for this practice session of an expected exciting weekend of Formula 1.

“Generally, it’s been a good day but still [some] work to do,” Hamilton said after the session.
“FP1 was a really good session, [we] made some changes and I wasn’t happy in FP2. Still, not such bad pace but I think we lost some ground, or they [Red Bull] gained ground.
“So we have some work to do tonight, as always.”
Some fans may think that it's intense heat in Austin, Texas, contributing to the occurring struggles. However, Hamilton was quick to debunk that the temperature was serving as his roadblock.
“I don’t think it’s the heat necessarily,” the Formula 1 legend stated.
“I think it’s literally just [that] the track surface is rougher than before and it’s a struggle to keep the temperature out of the tires.”
Generally, Hamilton and Bottas are still looking good in this practice session. Needless to say, both of them need a flawless finish in the US Grand Prix.
Hamilton is currently behind championship-leader Max Verstappen by six points. Meanwhile, Mercedes is leading the pack in the constructor standings, aiming for another Formula 1 title.
