First Competitor Advances In AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

One man is through.

Orange Cassidy defeated Powerhouse Hobbs on Friday's AEW Rampage to become the first man to advance in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.

Hobbs dominated the majority of the match, but Cassidy was able to catch him in the mouse trap as Hobbs was arguing with the referee.

Cassidy will face the winner of Jon Moxley vs. Preston "10" Vance in the semi-finals of the tournament. The finals of the tournament will take place at AEW Full Gear. Moxley vs. Vance takes place on the October 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The tournament continues on Saturday's AEW Rampage with Bryan Danielson against Dustin Rhodes and Eddie Kingston battling Lance Archer.
