With two weeks left until the NFL trade deadline, Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder said he’s ignoring the trade rumors and is focused on Sunday’s game against the Patriots.

“It is something that I don’t pay attention to. Obviously, it is part of the business, but my main focus is to come out each day and prepare for this week,” Crowder said. “That is just how I do it. I obviously haven’t thought about anything, just about coming in here and getting ready for Sunday.”

In his seventh year with the NFL, Crowder has only played in two games this season. He was already dealing with a groin injury when COVID-19 protocols forced him to miss the season opener. Crowder was confident he would be ready to play in Week 2, but the groin injury flared up and kept him sidelined until Week 4 against the Titans.

Since his return, Crowder has played about 60% of the Jets’ offensive snaps. He had seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Titans and four receptions for 24 yards against the Falcons in London. A hamstring and then a groin injury limited Crowder to 12 games last season, but he still led the offense in receiving with 59 catches for 699 yards and six touchdowns.

“In the two games I played I felt good. Not a lot of opportunities in the Atlanta game, but I got a few and took advantage of them... It felt good being an option for Zach and I want to continue to be a valuable option for him,” Crowder said. “When I got out there, my job is to get open and create as much separation as I possibly can, and that is what I am going to try and continue to do.”

Crowder agreed to take an unspecified pay cut entering the final season of his contract. In his past two seasons with the Jets, he’s recorded a total of 137 receptions for 1,532 yards and 12 touchdowns. Throughout his career, he’s started in 47 of 86 games played and has 369 receptions for 4,245 yards and 27 touchdowns.
