NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was fatally shot early Friday morning outside of a NYCHA development on Staten Island, police said.

On Friday just after 1 a.m., police responded to a 911 call for a man shot near 67 Warren St.
The man was near NYCHA’s Stapleton Houses when a man punched him, knocking him down, police told the New York Post.
While on the ground, the man was shot, the report said.
When cops arrived, officers found a 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the torso and right shoulder.
Police said EMS responded to the scene, who brought him to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has since been identified as Anthony Morales, of Staten Island.
Police said an investigation into the case is ongoing.
