Carve Fiona into your Halloween pumpkins with this downloadable stencil
Halloween is right around the corner and you and your family or friends may be looking to do some pumpkin carving the next few weeks.
Skip the basic designs this year and instead go for a cute, Cincinnati-themed design to light up your porch — a design none other than Fiona the hippo.
The Cincinnati Zoo teamed up with Cincy shirts to create a stencil of the queen of the Queen City. The stencil is free and available to download online.
In order to create the perfect Fiona pumpkin, Cincy Shirts recommends that you buy a big enough pumpkin the fit the hippo stencil.
Once the pumpkin is gutted, you can cut around the Fiona stencil and tape it onto the pumpkin. You then should trace the outline of the stencil with a small knife or corn holder. You can remove the stencil once you're done and use a carving knife to remove the traced pieces of pumpkin.
Once all the hard work is done, you can place a candle inside the pumpkin and enjoy your Fiona masterpiece.
