Lil Nas X is set to make a surprise appearance with Diplo in Las Vegas

Lil Nas X is expected to chopper into Las Vegas on Saturday night to make a surprise appearance during a Diplo show, Page Six has learned.

Sources say the sizzling-hot singer and rapper has decided last-minute to play “a few songs” toward the end of the superstar DJ’s set at the EDC Las Vegas festival.

“He’s going to hop on stage with Diplo and they’re going to do something original,” says an insider. “He wanted to do it. Last-minute thing. [He’s flying] out from Atlanta for it.”

The performance is expected to be available on Tik Tok rival Lomotif, along with other sets and interviews from the three-day EDM festival at the Las Vegas Speedway.

The Chainsmokers, Alesso, Paul Oakenfold, Kaskade and Deadmau5 are also among the many performers expected at the event.

Meanwhile, Billboard reported that the “Montero” star only just flew home to Atlanta to celebrate the city awarding him with his own day.

The city council named October 20 Lil Nas X Day in recognition of “his success in the world of music, entertainment and popular culture” and “considerable” impact on behalf of LGBTQ acceptance in the music industry.

According to the trade paper, the city’s proclamation was presented to Lil Nas X by mayoral candidate Antonio Brown who said, “He has made a considerable impact on the LGBTQ community by reshaping how society accepts LGBTQ artists within the music industry, and empowering others to break barriers and be more open, expressive, and personal through music and art.”

The star was born in nearby Lithia Springs.
