BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – CVS Pharmacy announced the distribution of booster shots at selected pharmacies across the country starting Friday, Oct. 22. Baton Rouge residents can check their local CVS pharmacies and MinuteClinic for availability.
Patients interested in the COVID-19 shots should visit CVS.com and provide details of their vaccination history and make an appointment to receive the Moderna or Pfizer booster shots.
Same-day appointments are accepted. Patients can also choose the type of vaccine they desire. No insurance is necessary.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), booster shots are recommended for patients 65 years and older.
