The Panthers will be shorthanded on Sunday against the Giants, playing once again without star running back Christian McCaffrey, but New York will also be painfully lacking in depth on offense this weekend.
Per Big Blue’s Friday injury report, Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, and Kadarius Toney have all been ruled out with injuries, while Evan Engram, John Ross, and Darius Slayton are all listed as questionable with injuries of their own.
Barkley will miss his second straight game with an ankle injury, halting his build-up back to form from his torn ACL suffered last season. It will also be the second missed game in a row for Golladay, the team’s big free agent signing who is dealing with a knee injury. Toney saw more action in Golladay’s absence last weekend, but after a fast start to the game, he injured his ankle and won’t play Sunday after not practicing for the third straight day. Slayton, another wide receiver, was limited in practice for the third straight day and will need to see some improvement in his hamstring if he is going to be good to go against Carolina.

Engram was the lone bit of good news on the injury front, as the tight end returned to practice after missing Thursday’s practice with a calf injury.
If Slayton, Ross, and Sterling Shepard (also questionable with a hamstring injury) can’t play in Week 7, the weapons around Daniel Jones will be painfully thin in a game the Giants badly need to have.
