Leslie Cruz Vasquez, 20, and an unnamed 18-year-old suspect face charges for attempted grand larceny in the second-degree, scheme to defraud in the first-degree and conspiracy in the fifth-degree.

New York State Investigators said a caller allegedly first posed as the attorney representing their son and instructed the victims in upstate New York to deliver $80,000 in bail money to New York City.

Police said through their investigation they uncovered the pair pretended to be associates of the attorney to accept the money.

Vasquez, of Jersey City, and the teen were nabbed Thursday around 6:10 p.m.

They were remanded to Bronx Central Booking pending arraignment, authorities said.
