In a statement released Thursday, police said the 56-year-old man died at a hospital. The fatal collision happened around 1 a.m. on Oct. 11 near the intersection of Huntwood Avenue and Salmon Way.

Authorities have not identified the man hit by the truck, pending notification of relatives.

The truck’s driver remained at the scene, spoke to officers and has not been arrested or charged with a crime. Police have not said whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or shared any other information about the crash.
