Emmerdale hints Meena could finally be caught out

Meena Jutla could be in trouble following the discovery of damning evidence in Emmerdale.

The killer has struck again this week, first when she tried to drown Victoria Sugden once the village's survival event went horribly wrong.

Although Meena couldn't finish the job and Victoria survived, she struck again by trapping Andrea Tate in the fiery maize maze once she found out Andrea had seen her attacking Victoria.

Friday's episode (October 22) featured police breaking the news to Kim Tate that her estranged daughter-in-law's body had been found in the burned remains of the maze.

Meena was recovering in the hospital, and after being told she'd have to give a statement, she took glee in rehearsing being distraught over the tragedy.

When the detective arrived to question her, Meena feigned tears while concocting a story about how she'd rushed into the maze to help.

"If only I'd known Andrea was in there, maybe I would have saved her," Meena said.

There was a slight hint that Meena could be tripped up when the detective questioned her on why she'd told Ben that only Priya and Ellis were inside.

"I'll have to live with that mistake for the rest of my life," she said.

Over at base camp, Billy shared that he'd recovered one of the cameras set up to monitor the challenge. Any talk about the footage was blunted when Ben shared the news about Andrea's death.

Ellis rushed to the hospital, where his father Al angrily blamed him for all of the horror in the village over the last 24 hours.

Al settled down, but Jai interrupted to make it clear he would find out who was to blame for the survival challenge disaster and make them pay!

In the village, Billy and Ben had a look at the security footage, which appeared to only show raging waters. Seconds after they walked away, the footage cut to Meena attempting to drown Victoria!
