Station 19 star Brett Tucker has signed on to appear in new Fox musical comedy-drama The Big Leap.
The series, which follows a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters as they try to change their lives in a potentially life-ruining reality dance series, only debuted on the channel last month.
However, Deadline reports that Tucker has joined up in the heavily recurring role of Linus, a boom operator on set that serves as a potential love interest for Julia Perkins (Teri Polo).

Alongside the aforementioned stars, The Big Leap also stars Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo and Anna Grace Barlow, and is described as a modern story about second chances, following dreams and taking back what's yours.
The show, based on UK documentary series Big Ballet, was created by Liz Heldens, who also created the short-lived series Deception and also worked on Friday Night Lights.
Tucker is perhaps best known for playing Seattle Fire Chief Lucas Ripley in Station 19, who was killed off in 2019 after being exposed to hydrofluoric acid. He also crossed over with sister show Grey's Anatomy for one episode.
Speaking at the time about filming the heartbreaking final scenes, Vic Hughes star Barrett Doss admitted it was emotional behind the scenes.
"When we did the table read of this episode, we all lost it a little bit. It was very emotional, but it was also one of the most satisfying ways to end [this storyline]," she said to TV Guide. "If we had to end the story, we might as well end it on a high note or on the lowest note you could ever reach. It was very sad."
Before Station 19, Tucker appeared for a number of years as Daniel Fitzgerald in Neighbours, before departing the soap in 2009.
The Big Leap airs on Fox in the US. Grey's Anatomy and Station 19 air on ABC in the US. They air on Sky Witness in the UK with selected episodes also available on NOW and Disney+.
