The former manager of the Bethel Park McDonald's pleaded guilty Friday to the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl under his supervision.
This morning with NewsRadio KDKA's Marty Griffin, Attorney Alan Perer outlined the sentence given to 42-year-old Walter Garner.
“He’s going to go to jail for four to 10 years, concurrent on each of the charges, he’s then going to get five years’ sexual probation and after that he will continue to be a permanent listing on Megan’s Law list.”
Perer is representing the victim’s family in a lawsuit against Rice Enterprises, the owner-operator of eight McDonald’s locations.
Garner was previously convicted in the indecent assault of a 10-year-old girl.
The lawsuit says Rice should've known about Garners past crimes.
