Despite modest progress over the past year, women and minority lawyers continue to be underrepresented in the Pennsylvania plaintiffs bar in 2021, according to an analysis by The Legal Intelligencer.

Based on an analysis of the 31 largest plaintiff-side civil firms in the commonwealth, female attorneys comprise 159, or 28%, of attorney positions, while minorities make up 55, or just under 10%. Breaking the data down further, African American attorneys comprise 5%, Hispanics make up 2% and Asian Americans make up 1.6%.
