As the Philadelphia 76ers returned to work on Friday ahead of a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets that should be an early litmus test.
The Sixers convened at their training facility in Camden, New Jersey, for a morning shootaround. Ben Simmons showed up and talked with star teammate Joel Embiid and the rest of the team.
Simmons expressed a desire to come back and play for the team again. However, he is still not mentally ready to do so following an offseason filled with drama between Simmons and the organization.

The Sixers want Simmons back with the team. They know how talented he is, and they understand that he gives them their best chance at winning a title, but it appears the 25-year-old will not be back any time soon.
