Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains) Debuts “Siren Song”
Alice in Chains guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell has debuted a new single, “Siren Song.” According to Spotify, it is one of 3,487,652 tracks with that title, not including “Siren’s Song” or “Song to the Siren” or “Song of the Siren” or “Song for the Siren.”
I don’t have time to listen to each and every one of those songs, and for sentimental reasons, it’s unlikely any of them will ever usurp This Moral Coil’s version of Tim Buckley’s “Song to the Siren” in my mind anyway. Still, I am prepared to called Cantrell’s “Siren Song” one of the top fifteen tracks ever to bear that name. Top twenty at worst.
