Wren firefighters attempt to gain access to the driver of a vehicle after it went over a guardrail and slammed into a tree roof first. It happened on Highway 86 near Wiggington Road Tuesday night. Anderson County deputy corner Don McCown identified the driver, James Gregory Freeze, 55, of Easley, who died after crashing into the tree. Troopers said Freeze was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. There were no other people in the vehicle. Medshore Ambulance Service as well as a QRV responded.
