President Joe Biden will return to Arlington next week to campaign for former Gov. Terry McAuliffe in the closing days of Virginia's governor's race.
The two are set to rally at Virginia Highlands Park on Tuesday, a week before the election in the commonwealth.
This will be the second time the president has rallied with McAuliffe. Biden won Virginia by 10 percentage points over Donald Trump in 2020, but the race for the next governor appears to be coming down to the wire.
McAuliffe and his Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin, a political newcomer, are deadlocked in a tight election. Also on the ballot for governor next month is third-party candidate Princess Blanding.
The gubernatorial election in Virginia is regarded as a referendum on Biden and the Democrats' chances of retraining control over Congress next year.
Early voting for the November election is open until Oct. 30. You can sign up to attend the event here.
