Ranking the top-five games for Bills fans to watch during the bye week

The Buffalo Bills do not play in Week 7. Their loss to the Tennessee Titans is going to linger for awhile because of that.

Instead, it’s Buffalo’s bye week.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t watch some other games, right?

Whether it’s to just get your mind off the Bills for one weekend… or to do so with the Bills on your mind… here are the top-five games for Buffalo fans to watch during the team’s Week 7 bye:

5. Colts at 49ers (Sunday Night Football)

The Colts are only 2-4, but were very good in 2020. They pushed the Bills in the postseason, even.

This game could go a long ways in getting Indy back in the playoff race, which will be of interest to the Bills.

4. Bengals at Ravens (1:00 p.m.)

These two AFC teams might have their fingerprints all over the postseason race. The Ravens in particular will, since their record is better than Buffalo’s at 5-1.

The Bills don’t play either of their sides in the regular season, but the Bengals are 4-2 so both teams could end up being in the postseason picture… and could eventually face Buffalo once we get there.

3. Chiefs at Titans (1:00 p.m.)

The Chiefs and Titans are facing off. The Bills did just play these two sides, but this outcome could affect the AFC’s playoff picture.

The Bills will root for the Chiefs here since they have the edge on them, head-to-head, in the standings.

2. Falcons at Dolphins (1:00 p.m.)

The Dolphins are spiraling at 1-5, but let’s face it. You’ll want to watch any AFC East teams this weekend on the schedule…. and the team the Bills play next, which is the Dolphins.

The Bills do also play the Falcons this season, but not till Week 17.

1. Jets at Patriots (1:00 p.m.)

The AFC East isn’t a tight affair, but the Patriots are in second place at 2-4 behind the Bills. The Jets are tied with the Dolphins in the divisional basement with only one win, but they’re coming off a bye week of their own.

Could they push the Pats? Regardless, it’s two divisional opponents so this is a must watch.
