The sale was tied to the owner of a real estate company.

An equestrian estate spanning 54.5 acres in Wellington sold for $30 million.

Green Light Partners LLC, managed by Joshua Levy in Jacksonville, sold the property at 5210, 5220 and 5240 Laredo Way, plus 10765 and 10841 Wellington Preserve Blvd. to Laredo Preserve LLC, managed by attorney Craig T. Galle in Wellington. Iberiabank, a division of First Horizon Bank, provided a $10 million mortgage to the buyer.

However, when Green Light Partners’ mortgage was last modified in June 2020, Michael D. Bickford in Jacksonville was listed as the co-borrower. He’s the founder of Wilmington, Delaware-based Round Hill Capital, which invests in real estate, and is known to compete in polo tournaments.

Located in the Wellington Preserve equestrian community, the property has 56,230 square feet of buildings, with only 4,643 square feet under air. Most of the facilities are for horses, including a 64-stall barn and two full-sized polo fields. It was developed in 2018 and this is the first time it has sold.

There’s been plenty of sales of equestrian sites in Wellington this month. Meanwhile, the Winter Equestrian Festival starts in January.
