A play made by Red Sox ball girl Camille Desrochers impressed Fenway fans and Houston Astros alike during during Game 5 of the ALCS.

“There was a righty on the bat and I was like, ‘Well if it comes this way, I’m going to be ready to get it,” Desrochers told 7News. “And I just saw it, saw the umpire call foul, of course, wouldn’t want to touch a fair ball.”

This is the Framingham State University softball player’s first year as a ball girl for the Sox, and this play specifically was her first ever playoff ball, the TV station reported. After the big catch, she passed the ball to a young fan, telling 7News how she enjoys the opportunity to make a child’s day.

Desrochers’ snag also caught some attention from major league players.

“[Carlos] Correa actually they showed it on TV and gave me a round of applause which was cool and then the third base umpire told me that most of the Astros in their dugout gave me a round of applause which was fun,” she reportedly said.

Meanwhile, outside the park during Game 4, another big Red Sox fan caught a ball.

Anthony Espinal was on his way to Bleacher Bar at Fenway Park when Xander Bogaerts hit a home run over the Green Monster. This fan was in the right place at the right time, as he reached up to grab the ball, holding it up and smiling for a photo.

The Red Sox need to win the next two games in order to move on in the playoffs, but Desrochers is hopeful she can make a play on a World Series field.

“And then hopefully, if they do well, then the World Series will be a few games at Fenway and hopefully I’ll be able to get one but we’ll see,” she told the TV station.
