Armed teen robs Akron Subway, police say

AKRON, Ohio — A teen suspect escaped with cash after robbing a Subway restaurant in the city’s Kenmore neighborhood, according to police.

Police say the male suspect entered the Subway on the 1000 block of Kenmore Boulevard at about 9 p.m. Wednesday and placed an order. When the worker opened the cash register after completing the order, the suspect jumped over the counter and pulled out a handgun, police say.

The suspect, believed to be between 15-17-years old, ran from the area with an undisclosed amount of money. No other description was provided.
