Recap

Jamie's partner is planning on celebrating Halloween for an entire week. Anyway they stop two guys, one of which is totally drunk. They are cops and want to go to a bar instead of taking him home because his wife won't be happy. Jamie's partner notices that the car is beat up. There was an accident. The other cop isn't happy that Jamie is doing things by the book.

Eddie and Witten break up a fight in the park and some woman who was beat up declares she hates cops and spits in Witten's face.

Danny and Baez arrive at a posh high school to investigate the death of a student.

Garrett shows Frank some cell phone footage of a cop beating up a Black suspect. Media is waiting for Frank's comment. The cop is Brian Baker, Abigail's husband.

Jamie questions the cop who says O'Rourkes is a safe place for cops who have gotten drunk but aren't aggressive.

Baez and Danny talk to the headmaster who says there is no drug use at the school and the kids value privacy.

Eddie wants Witten to go out with her after work but Witten doesn't want to. Eddie wants to talk about what happened. Witten says it's what they signed up for, so back off.

Abigail comes to see Frank. She knows something is going on. Frank tells her to call her husband. He says Brian is okay but something happened -- he crossed a line and it was caught on camera. Abigail is sure it was manipulated or taken out of context. She doesn't think the behavior sounds like Brian. Sid is reviewing the footage and so Abigail is upset that Gormley and Garett knew. Frank breaks the news to her that the press has this and tells her to take the day off.

Jamie goes to see Erin to ask her about what Kyle said. She wants to know how Jamie knows the guy had a DUI. He tells her about the bar. Erin doesn't know anything about it. She will ask Anthony.

The victim died of a head injury and has bruising on her arms and had her hair pulled out. The ME says that Danny has to be the one to prove that this was a homicide. Also the girl was 4 months pregnant.

Mrs. Johnson is shocked Kayla was pregnant. She was seeing a rich white kid named Noah Barber who had been held back and taken a gap year to travel Europe. He had the means to take Kayla away if he wanted. He was expelled a month ago for posting a racist video.

Anthony says Erin doesn't want to know about O'Rourkes. Erin doesn't like the sound of this. She asks about Kyle Dorsey and what Jamie found out. She asks if Dorsey was a good cop. Anthony hesitates. He says Dorsey is true blue, thinks the job is to look out for other cops instead of for citizens. Erin wants Anthony to work with Jamie on this.

Gormley and Garett come in. Abigail has gone home. Gormley says the video is accurate. Even Baker's partner didn't stand up for him. IAB is suspending him without pay pending an investigation. Frank needs to put out a statement. Frank wonders where this came from. Apparently Brian has been a loose cannon since he was shot two years ago.

Erin tries to talk to Witten about a smoothie place. Witten is not talking and does not want to listen to the radio.

Danny and Baez question Noah who says he was playing squash. He claims not to know that Kayla was pregnant. He's happy to take a paternity test. He says he listens to true crime podcasts and knows how cops operate. He says Kayla treated the headmaster like a god and told him everything. He insists that he is not a racist and he just couldn't fight the accusations.

Paternity test shows Noah isn't the father and he has an alibi. Also the video wasn't racist. Another parent had their daughter pulled from the school after an inappropriate relationship with an educator. Is Anderson the killer?

Anthony says the cop was definitely driving drunk and then dropped his kids at the movies before hitting some trash cans. Erin wonders if Dorsey knew about this. Anthony thinks they need to talk to Dorsey.

Noah complains that half the city thinks he killed Kayla. Danny questions him about Mr. Anderson, who it turns out is the one who wrote the letters. Two other girls had relationships with Anderson.

Dorsey wants the cops to let this go. Nothing happened and one of the boys was his godson. Jamie suggests Dorsey get his partner some help. Jamie asks him who is gonna have his godson's back.

Abigail complains that her husband was treated unfairly in the statement. Frank says he did what he needed to do. Abigail says Brian wants a separation. Frank is sorry. She says her job has always been an issue in their marriage. Brian has always resented her climbing the ranks. He never saw his job as important as hers. Frank says Brian has no one to blame but himself. Abigail says he almost died from that shooting. Frank thinks this is why we're in this mess. He was back on the job in three months. Frank is worried about Brian's mental health. He wishes Abigail would have told him what was going on with Brian. Abigail says she can't share everything with Frank as that would be bad for both of them.

Danny and Baez interview Nadia, one of the other students who might have had an affair with Mr. Anderson. Nadia insists Anderson would never have an inappropriate relationship with a student. Danny shows her a love letter from Anderson to Kayla. Nadia says he is lying. Baez says he wrote the same lyrics to you? Nadia won't admit Anderson is having an affair with her and says she has diplomatic immunity and doesn't have to stay. She goes.

Witten tells Eddie she is leaving the police force. She doesn't want Eddie to think she's a quitter. Eddie can't change her mind. Eddie asks her to see Frank while she's putting her papers in. Witten says she can't do that. But she will sleep soundly knowing Eddie is still out there on aptrol.

Frank goes to see Brian to try to find out what happened. Did the perp looking like the one who shot him set him off? He tells Brian to act like he knows his shooter is already in jail. And don't beat up suspects. He's glad at least Brian isn't glad to be free of his wife and kids..

Anthony goes to see Adams. His wife slams the door in his face. Anthony says her husband put her and her son in danger. She says he's with Kyle and slams the door again.

Danny gets a call. Nadia has Anderson at gunpoint.

Danny arrives. Anderson insists he didn't kill Kayla. Danny encourages her to put the gun down. She believed Anderson loved her. She didn't mean to hurt Kayla. She told her to get rid of the baby and they fought. She says admit it or I kill you. Anderson says what she wants him to say. Danny tells her to take it easy and just tell him what happened. Nadia says they got in a fight and Kayla fell. Danny gets the gun away from Nadia and both Nadia and Anderson are arrested.

Frank comes to see Abigail. He asks if her mom is okay with the kids. Abigail says Brian asked them to come home. Frank is glad to hear it. Brain knows he needs help. She wonders if Frank sent someone to talk to him. Frank says no. They're good now.

At dinner everyone is talking about Halloween. Sean had a male teacher dress as Hillary Clinton. The conversation drifts to O'Rourkes. Danny knows all about O'Rourkes. Frank says back in the day the FDNY and NYPD didn't get along. One day the fire chief and a woman not his wife were skinny dipping and were taken to O'Rourkes after they were rescued. So it's not such a bad place.

Abigail asks if Frank has a moment. Witten comes to see him. He has heard she quit. She says she came to say she's sorry and this is not his fault. Frank appreciates that. He says she has a year to change her mind. She doesn't want to be talked out of this. Frank wants her to reach out a year from today either way. She agrees. He wishes her luck.
