For all eternity, the careers of Luka Doncic and Trae Young will be entwined. Their rivalry added another chapter on Thursday night as the Atlanta Hawks hosted the Dallas Mavericks.

Doncic and Young once again led their respective squads in the contest, but in the end, the Hawks came up with the victory, 113-87. While some fans have pitted the two All-Star guards against each other, it's quite clear that they don't have any animosity toward each other.

After the game, they hugged it out, showing nothing but the utmost respect for each other (via Bleacher Report).

Young had a double-double for the Hawks with 19 points and 14 assists. Doncic, on the other hand, finished with all-around numbers of 18 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Both had five turnovers though, perhaps a sign of offseason rust.

The Hawks and the Mavericks are two of the up-and-coming squads in the NBA and it's largely due to having Young and Doncic, who were traded for each other in the 2018 NBA Draft. This is the point where we have to note that Marvin Bagley III was picked ahead of them. Mentioning it is mandatory.

The Hawks will gun for back-to-back wins on Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, while the Mavericks will try to bounce back versus the Toronto Raptors.
