The Portland Trail Blazers’ very own Damian Lillard has been selected for the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. The league announced the team over the course of three days, splitting up alphabetical order amongst them, and Lillard’s nod came on the third and final day. He joins Bill Walton, Clyde Drexler, and Scottie Pippen among other Blazers on the anniversary team.

Lenny Wilkens, who spent one season as a player-coach with the Trail Blazers, was also named to the team. Former Blazer and current Los Angeles Laker Carmelo Anthony made the list as well.

An honor such as this likely takes the sting out of Lillard’s lackluster performance against the Sacramento Kings to open the regular season, in which he scored 20 points but went 0-for-9 from behind the three point line. Congratulations to Dame and may it be just one among many honors he receives while a Portland Trail Blazer.
