A semitruck rollover caused a backup on Interstate 71 at the Gene Snyder during the evening commute home Thursday.According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the rollover happened just before 5:30 p.m. and involved a semitruck that was carrying a load of pipes.It's unknown what caused the semi-truck to roll over on the southbound lanes of I-71 at the Gene Snyder. The accident caused a backup around the area near Norton Commons and the Paddock Shops.Officials said the driver of the semi-truck had minor injuries and was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment. One lane of southbound I-71 was shut down so crews could upright the semi and clean up the fuel spill.Additional details were not released.
