Allegheny County reports printing error on some mail-in ballots

PITTSBURGH — The 2021 election is less than two weeks away, but Thursday it was reported there is a printing error on some mail-in ballots in Allegheny County.

A spokesperson for the Elections Division said the vendor mistakenly printed a barcode on some voter secrecy envelopes instead of the declaration envelopes.

So far, 29 returned ballots have been flagged with the issue. They have been manually entered into the system.

Any voter who has not yet returned their ballot but has been impacted by this issue is urged to contact the Elections Division by phone (412.350.4500), email (electionscontact@alleghenycounty.us) or in-person (6th floor County Office Building, 542 Forbes Avenue).
