Wichita State University received a $2 million federal grant from The Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) to purchase tools and supplies to support the new Flight Test Research Center as well as a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Facility for the National Institute for Aviation Research.
The EDA project will be matched with over $222,000 in local funds, and is expected to create 75 new jobs.
The project was made possible by the South Central Kansas Economic Development District.
