Deputies say Kevin Antwan Simmons is charged with trafficking marijuana.
Law enforcement from the Sacramento area told South Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration agent that Simmons was flying into Columbia on October 17. When Simons landed and grabbed his luggage from baggage claim, DEA and Lexington County Narcotics agents searched his bags with Simmons consent.
Sheriff Jay Koon says Sacramento airport officials found the marijuana in Simmons' suitcases when they were x-rayed before his flight.
