Two fatal crashes in the Upstate Wednesday

The tragic trend of fatal wrecks in the Upstate continued Wednesday. Two separate collisions ended in fatalities. One crash happened in Greenville County and Laurens County was the site of the other.

In the Greenville County crash, authorities are looking for the suspect vehicle which is described as a white van. The Highway Patrol says the van fled the scene following a fatal crash on Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greer on Wednesday afternoon. The Spartanburg County Coroner says, 73 year old Myron Belcher died at the hospital following the crash. The suspect vehicle hit Belcher's car sending it off the road and into a tree. Anyone who can help in the search for the suspect vehicle is urged to contact the Greer PD, SC Highway Patrol, or The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.

One driver is dead and the other in ICU following a crash on Highway 72 in Laurens County. The Highway Patrol says the driver of a Toyota Sedan ran off the highway around 8 AM Wednesday. The driver then veered back across the highway into the path of an oncoming SUV. The driver of the sedan, 27 year old Aimi Perret was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was hospitalized.
