ANN ARBOR, MI -- The Old Siam by Siam Kitchen has announced it is closing permanently due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Unfortunately, this pandemic has impacted us a lot, and we will have to be shutting down the restaurant on 10/23/21 due to these circumstances,” restaurant officials announced Old Siam’s Facebook page. “Thank you for all your support through these rough times.”
Located at 2509 Jackson Ave. in Ann Arbor’s Westgate Mall, Old Siam featured Thai food, including Pad Thai, Phad Phed and Tom Yum Tofu soup and more. The restaurant offered a range of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options.
Old Siam opened in 1982 as the Siam Kitchen and was renamed in the late 1990s.
Saturday, Oct. 23 is the final day. The restaurant is open from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 4:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Restaurant officials did not respond to a request for comment.
