The Truth About Olivia Holt's Boyfriend

Actor and singer Olivia Holt wowed audiences with her portrayal of missing teen Kate Wallis on the first season of Freeform's "Cruel Summer." In the series, which is set in the 1990s, Holt's character goes missing, and her disappearance rocks the lives of everyone in town— namely, that of Jeanette Turner, played by Chiara Aurelia.

Though Holt was well known in her younger years — she got her start on Disney XD's "Kickin' It" in 2011 — it wasn't until the release of "Cruel Summer" that her fame skyrocketed. In fact, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's premiere was the most-watched ever for the network, raking in over 3.8 million viewers within the first week of its release.

Now, fans of 24-year-old Holt are growing increasingly curious about her personal life. What do we know about Holt's boyfriend, Tony Ferrari? Is he an actor, and how long have the two been together? Let's dig in.

In 2015, Young Hollywood named Ferrari an "Artist to Watch." The outlet revealed that Ferrari played sports growing up, but "fell in love with music" during his freshman year of high school. Ferrari, per Young Hollywood, cites musicians like Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, and Al Green as his inspiration. He told the outlet, "I am inspired by life, love, happiness and relationships. I find inspiration in my own experiences with love – finding it, being in it, losing it, and the crazy journey of self-discovery that comes with it."

Fans may be surprised to learn that Ferrari contributed artistically to the first season of "Cruel Summer." According to his Instagram, he produced the songs "Disarm," originally by The Smashing Pumpkins, and "Creep," originally by Radiohead, for the last episode of the show. Ferrari wrote on social media, "SO stoked to have produced two songs for @olivia_holt in tonight's finale episode of @cruelsummer !!!!" He added, "i'm so honored to be apart of this amazing show."

Tony Ferrari is signed to Disney/Hollywood Records

According to SoundBetter,Tony Ferrari is not only signed to Disney/Hollywood Records, but he's written songs for Chelsea Collins & 24kGoldn, Jake Miller, Lee Brice, Monsta X, Prince Fox, and the show "Empire," among others. To date, he released two full-length albums, the most recent of which is "Gentleman." "Gentleman" reached the top 50 on the pop charts.

In a 2014 interview with MYP Magazine, Ferrari opened up about a "traumatic event" that sparked his love of music. He shared, "I had gone to a small, private middle school growing up, and then I transferred into a large high school and it was such a shock. I didn't know anybody. It was just this weird thing where I ended up eating in the library by myself for three months. It wasn't the worse thing in the world, but I was pretty devastated."

Ferrari explained that one day, he missed his old friends and turned on music — Nat King Cole's "L.O.V.E." came on. He recalled, "It was just a moment of THIS IS IT. I was never really into music as a kid, but that moment — it felt like something had saved me." Ferrari has no formal training, and is a self-taught musician. "I just watched videos on YouTube. My favorite thing to do is listen to songs and just figure it out."
