The NBA season has begun, and most teams have already played their first game (minus a few that play on Thursday evening).
The Minnesota Timberwolves looked really good, the Brooklyn Nets looked really bad and the Charlotte Hornets were a wonderful surprise.
Why did the Wolves look good?
The Timberwolves played a young Houston Rockets team, but they absolutely dominated the entire game winning 124-106 on their home floor.
The big-three of D'Angelo Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards was nothing short of spectacular.
If they play like that every single night they will be a Western Conference Playoff team (and a good seed).
Nets get blown out by Bucks:
Sure, the Nets are playing without a seven-time All-Star in Kyrie Irving, but they still have James Harden and Kevin Durant.
Irving has never been an MVP, but those two have.
They lost 127-104.
It's one thing to lose to the defending NBA Champions on banner night.
However, they got obliterated by the team that also beat them in the playoffs last season.
There was absolutely no pride shown by a veteran, star led, Nets team.
Hornets shock the world:
The Charlotte Hornets did show pride.
They lost to the Indiana Pacers in last season's play-in game, and they came out on opening night despite falling down by 23-points, and won 123-122.
In the the third quarter the Hornets outscored the Pacers by 20-points, and LaMelo Ball started his second season off in fashion; 31 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
